Amorgos Beaches
Visitors of Amorgos can spend many relaxing and entertaining moments on the beautiful beaches of the island. Near Anemolithi Studios, you can go to the magnificent Mouros Beach, famous for its fine pebbles and crystal-clear waters. Other lovely Amorgos beaches located nearby include Paradissia and Kato Kambos.

Close to the port of Katapola, we recommend visiting the beaches of Agii Saranda, Finikies, Martezi, and Plakes, while near Amorgos Town, the capital of the island, the beaches of Kambi and Agia Anna are your best bet. Towards the northern part of the island, you will come across the Amorgos beaches of Agios Pavlos and Chalara (which can only be reached by boat). Around the Aegiali area, you can swim at the fabulous beaches of Psili Ammos, Chochlakas, Levrossos and Fokiotrypa. As you visit these beaches, keep track of your favorite ones on your map of Amorgos.

Amorgos Island Greece is a sightseers’ paradise, with a plethora of ancient sites, as well as historical and religious monuments. Apart from man-made sightseeing attractions, Amorgos is a joy to explore on foot, offering visitors breathtaking natural areas and exquisite views. In Amorgos Town, visitors have the opportunity of admire the superb Byzantine Monastery of Chozoviotissa - the most famous attraction of the island, carved into the cliffside -, the ruins of the Venetian Castle, the Kato Lakkos Medieval Cistern, the Gavras Tower that houses the Collection of Antiquities, the ruins of the Hellenistic Towers, and the many lovely churches.

Additionally, we recommend visiting the ruins of Ancient Minoa and the Church of Panagia Katapoliani in Katapola, as well as the many charming churches in the Aegiali region.

Amorgos Cuisine
Amorgos Island is famous for its cuisine, which is comprised of dishes that are made from ingredients that are produced on the island. At the Anemolithi Studios Restaurant, guests can sample some of the island’s wonderful dishes, such as patatato (goat meat and potatoes in red sauce), stuffed vegetables, pilaf, stuffed grape-vine leaves, goat meat and rice, and cheese pies made with locally-produced cheeses. You can accompany your meal with a bottle of biological wine from Amorgos and end it with a glass of psimeni raki (raki with honey and cinnamon).
